Categories of Publication


The Journal "Macedonian Veterinary Review" publishes review articles, original scientific articles, short communications, clinical reviews and errata/corrigenda. Supplement issue is additional category of publication that collect papers that deal with related topic of veterinary medicine and are published as a separate issue of the Macedonian Veterinary Review.

 

Review Articles

Review articles dealing with all aspects of veterinary sciences will be accepted, but subject to the approval of the Editor-in-Chief. Authoritative and critical reviews of the current state of knowledge are preferred. There is no prescribed layout for reviews, but the tables, and manner of citations should conform to the guidelines for articles.

Original Scientific Articles

Original articles cover full reports of research work with precise description and clear interpretation of theoretical or experimental work.

Short Communications

Short communications are intended to rapidly communicate novel ideas and results in new and developing areas of veterinary science.

Clinical Reviews

Clinical reviews are articles that describe up to date report and explanation of different topics aimed to veterinary doctors, specialists, general practitioners and veterinary surgeons. The clinical review should provide new information about recent (up to 2 last years) developments and their likely clinical applications in primary and secondary care. The article should try to connect the primary and secondary care and offer specific information on what general veterinary practitioners should know about the described disease or condition.
There are no strict rules how the clinical reviews shoud be arranged, but the tables, and manner of citations should follow the standards and guidelines for articles.

Errata/Corrigenda

The Erratum/Corrigendum section provides a means of correcting errors that occurred during the writing, typing, editing, or printing (e.g., a misspelling, a dropped word or line, or mislabeling in a figure) of a published article. Send Errata directly to the Editor-in-Chief.

Supplements

Supplements are collections of abstracts that deal with related topics of veterinary medicine and are published as separate supplement issues to a regular “Mac Vet Rev” issues. 
The supplements are usually related with some conference/congress/meeting, include the scientific program, and presented papers (orals and posters) that are published as Proceedings in supplement issue of Mac Vet Rev.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Dear authors,

Based on the Editorial board decision, starting from the 1st of May 2020,  Case Reports will no longer be accepted by the Editorial office.  The Case Reports  that have already been submitted before the 1st of May 2020, which will pass the peer-review procedure, are going to be published in the following volumes.
